Description
The MH Multipass 3,9 - 4 channel pyro is a quad-channel high-precision gas cell that significantly increases sensitivity in non-dispersive infrared gas analysis (NDIR). Based on a Herriott configuration, the optical path in a compact 120 mm housing has been extended to approximately 3.9 meters. This allows simultaneous measurement across four channels, enabling the cell to perform precise detection of trace gas concentrations in multiple gas components or reference signals. It is ideal for applications that require both compact design and highest analytical performance.
.
The 6061-T6 aluminum housing with PTFE protective coating provides excellent corrosion resistance and minimizes the risk of contamination in humid or chemically aggressive environments. The cell features gold-coated K9 mirrors and CaF₂ windows, ensuring excellent reflectivity and infrared transparency over a wide wavelength range. Stable mirror mounts and a vibration-resistant design secure optical stability and long-term signal integrity, even under dynamic industrial conditions.
.
A gas-tight sealing system with high-quality O-rings enables safe operation at pressures from 500 to 1300 mbar and temperatures from -20 °C to +60 °C, ensuring consistent measurement performance over the entire lifetime. The HC 3900 quad is optimized for JSIR 350-4 infrared emitters as well as quad-channel thermopile or pyroelectric detectors from Micro-Hybrid, providing a perfectly matched optical interface within Micro-Hybrid’s all-in-one NDIR platform.
.
The flexible measurement cell can be configured for various gases and environmental parameters, including CO, CO₂, CH₄, SO₂, NO, N₂O, and SF₆. Its mechanical and optical design ensures reliable integration into emission monitoring systems, analytical instruments, and OEM NDIR modules—combining robustness, sensitivity, and stability in a compact quad-channel solution.
