Description
The MH Multipass 2,5 - 2 channel is a dual-channel high-precision gas cell that significantly improves sensitivity in non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) gas analysis. Based on a Herriott configuration, the optical path is extended to approximately 2.5 meters within a compact 120 mm housing.
This design enables simultaneous detection in two optical channels and provides precise measurement of multiple gas components or reference signals. The cell is ideal for applications requiring both a compact design and high analytical performance.
.
The 6061-T6 aluminum housing with PTFE protective coating offers excellent corrosion resistance and minimizes the risk of contamination in humid or chemically aggressive environments. Gold-coated K9 mirrors and CaF₂ windows ensure outstanding reflectivity and infrared transparency across a wide wavelength range. Stable mirror mounts and a vibration-resistant construction provide optical stability and long-term signal integrity, even under dynamic industrial conditions.
.
A gas-tight sealing system with high-quality O-rings allows safe operation at pressures from 500 to 1300 mbar and temperatures from −20 °C to +60 °C, ensuring consistent measurement performance over the system’s lifetime. The sensor is optimized for infrared emitters JSIR 350-4 as well as dual-channel thermopile or pyroelectric detectors from Micro-Hybrid, providing a perfectly matched optical interface within the All-in-One NDIR platform.
.
The flexible measurement cell can be configured for a wide range of gases and environmental parameters, including CO, CO₂, CH₄, SO₂, NO, N₂O, and SF₆. Its mechanical and optical design ensures reliable integration into emission monitoring systems, analytical instruments, and OEM NDIR modules – combining robustness, sensitivity, and stability in a compact dual-channel solution.
