Description

The MTS2SENS44 carbon dioxide is optimized to measure carbon dioxide (CO2) using the narrow band filter with a CWL of 4265 ± 25 nm and a HBW of 120 ± 10 nm and the reference channel (CWL: 3910 ± 28, HBW: 70 ± 10 nm). The infrared detector is equipped with an integrated thermistor for reference temperature determination. A mass absorber ensures the efficient transformation of radiation energy into thermal energy. Thermocouples turn this thermal energy into electrical energy, what can be measured as a signal.

The base of the IR thermopile MTS2SENS44 carbon dioxide form 2 chips with 44 silicon thermocouples each. Thanks to them and the filling with krypton, the detector features a detectivity of up to 1.61*108 cm√Hz/W and a sensitivity of up to 39 V/W at a good price-performance ratio.

The detector can be used at ambient temperatures between -20 and 85 °C in many applications in industry, aerospace and medicine: Exhaust gas measurement on vehicles, breath gas analysis or patient monitoring.
